an emergent world

is an online platform for the development, presentation and promotion of our new way of knowledge namely, Agapic Ontological Personalism otherwise referred to as Agaposofia Philosophy

Welcome to this venture in expounding a new configuration of ancient knowledge

 --- Identity Statement

The St Maximus Centre for Agaposofia Philosophy is a dedicated institute fostering the exploration, development, and dissemination of Agaposofia—an integrative philosophy rooted in theology of Theia Agape (divine love), relational personalism, relational ontology, and Orthodox Patristic theology. Organizationally operated under the aegis of Orthodox Hermitage of Holy Archangel Michael in New York State.

St Maximus Centre serves as a hub for scholarly research, theological inquiry, and practical application, guiding individuals and communities toward social transformation, spiritual communion and ultimate theosis.

---Mission Statement

St Maximus Centre exists to advance the study and application of Agaposofia Philosophy by integrating existential phenomenology, relational personalism, relational ontology, and Patristic theology. Through rigorous research, and community engagement, we aim to cultivate a deeper awareness of the transformative power of divine love and its implications for both personal and societal flourishing within the Genuine Orthodox Tradition.

 ---Vision Statement

We envision a world where persons and communities are transformed through the principles of Agaposofia, embodying divine love in relational authenticity and ethical responsibility.

St Maximus Centre strives to be a global leader in this theological philosophy, inspiring spiritual renewal and cultivating a profound understanding of humanity’s ultimate purpose in union with God.

 ---Core Values

1. Agapic Love: Upholding love as the foundational principle of all relationships and theological inquiry. By Acting, by Being, intentional in one's approach to another person or entity of nature, the love at most every degree will improve the experience becoming a mutual benefit thus strengthening larger society by their influence.

2. Theological Integrity: Faithful adherence to Orthodox Patristic tradition while engaging in rigorous academic exploration.

3. Relational Personalism: Honoring the inherent dignity of each person as an image of God and fostering authentic, transformative relationships.

4. Pursuit of Theosis: Encouraging spiritual growth and transformation through prayer, study, and virtuous living, striving for a divinely inspired, universal agapic environment.

5. Unity in Diversity: Promoting dialogue and collaboration across academic and monastic disciplines while maintaining the Genuine Orthodox Christian tradition.

6. Ethical Responsibility: Acting with compassion, humility, and justice, serving humanity in accordance with Orthodox values.
